  But, they AREN'T teaching! They are like interpreters at the UN. They are not the big-wigs teaching! As a deaf person who was never taken seriously in my congregation, this burns me up and makes me hate them even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are the damned emoticons?????!!!!!!!

  Actually, it was when I was a JW that people were surprised. I was so open minded and I really listened to people without judging them. Bad witness bad!

  How do I flirt, not acting desperate at the same?

  first i'll blame the fact that growing up as a witness, it was hard flirting with girls.

  most of my younger days were spent at congregation gatherings, and it was hard trying to go up and talk to the girls.

  both parents had to know about it, and it was quite a serious issue.

  The dreaded "friend zone?" If you aren't friendly with me I won't give you the time of day! Just be friendly and DON'T act like you are eying a steak dinner. Maybe you are looking for a fuck buddy. Trust for a long lasting relationship is built in the "friend zone." Must be friends for it to last. What, friends can't have sex??? Who made that rule? FWB.

  Do you think JW's grow and mature as they age?

  i ask because my ex, who is still a jw and my 9 year old's dad (hence the still knowing him part) hardley seems to change at all over the years.

  i do know he is now an elder....and he doesn't have time for much fun.

  (they are usually broke and busy with meetings, ect.

  I do believe that it stunts people intellectually as they just become more indoctrinated but no wiser as far as how the world works. They still judge people but worse as they age. Their heads become even bigger. I think they degress as they grow.

  how many of you were required to give up a certain career you had in order to become a jw or before you could be baptised?.

  help here in naming all the job positions and careers that dubs are not allowed to have and the scriptural reason for it.

  detail if possible.. can a jw be a mortician?.

  How about any job one might call a career, or any job that requires a college degree? I was surprised to learn that JW's can have government jobs. What's up with that?! It sounds as rationalized down as the no blood doctrine but you can take parts of blood. Weird.

  I think that makeup is essential in the competitive world of work. Without it, studies have proven that your chances of landing a job are reduced significantly. They will pick the pretty girl over the plain one. It's a fact. I am thinking about getting permanent makeup so I won't need to think about it everyday. I hate putting it on.

  I wear eyeliner, mascara, blusher, and colorless Blistex. I wear make up about twice a week. Not very obsessed with it.
